A PRIMARY school has improved its Ofsted rating from "satisfactory" to "good" following an inspection by the education watchdog.
Thorpe Hall Primary in Hale End Road, Walthamstow, was praised for its inclusive atmosphere and dedicated teachers in a report published this week.
A previous inspection in 2009 said there were areas which the school was lacking in.
But the latest report said many improvements had been made, including better leadership and the development of a more active governing body.
However it said more could still be done, such as encouraging greater consistency in providing challenging tasks for more able pupils.
But overall it described Thorpe Hall as "a good school which ensures that pupils from a wide range of backgrounds make good progress in acquiring knowledge, learning skills and in developing personal qualities which prepare them well for the next stage of education."

Local council needs to address these issues asap, 1.8m wasted on the Wood St shopping precint for drunks to watch a fountain! Or 300k for children to eat healthily in a ccomfortable dining hall with school cooked at the school?
