WALTHAMSTOW: Man charged with High Street murder

A MAN has been charged with the murder of a tourist in Walthamstow High Street.

Kelvin Francis, 26, was found bleeding to death outside the Captain Fish & Chip shop on Sunday shortly before 10.30pm.

He died half an hour later.

It is understood that Mr Francis, of Grenada in the Carribean, was on a month's visit to London.

David Kazim, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with the murder of Mr Francis and will appear at Stratford Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday).

Lisa Donegan, 21, of Lordship Lane, Wood Green, is accused of perverting the cause of justice and will also appear at Stratford tomorrow.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward and will be speaking to passers-by in High Street between 8pm and 11.30pm on Sunday.
