Police appeal for information after a 12-year-old boy was threatened with a knife in Borders Lane, Loughton

POLICE are searching for a youth after a 12-year-old boy was threatened with a knife.

The victim was approached by the suspect, who was on a bike, in Borders Lane, Loughton, at 6pm on August 4.

The youth threatened the boy while holding a small knife. Nothing was stolen.

The suspect is a 5ft 5ins tall white male aged between 13 and 15. He was wearing a grey Ralph Lauren hoodie with a red horse logo and was riding a black mountain bike.

Essex Police have only released the information today (August 30).
