A MOTORIST was taken to hospital with back injuries after a crash involving four cars this morning.
It happened on the M25 near Epping between junctions 26 and 27 at around 9.30am today (Sunday February 12).
Further details have not been released.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said the number of crashes in Essex since Friday (February 10) was more than double the amount reported in the last weekend in January.
Icy conditions are thought to be a factor and Essex Police has urged car drivers only to make journeys when "necessary" today.
