NIGHTCLUB promoters in Epping have expressed scepticism over a proposed new 600-capacity venue in the town.

According to several websites, a new club called the 'Villa' will start trading in May in the High Street, opening between 9.30pm and 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, and between 9pm and 2am on Sundays.

An official website and Facebook page - which has attracted nearly 700 fans - claims the venue will be "stylish" and will feature 15 individual booths.

But those at nightspots Club Edge and Club One9Five have denied any knowledge of it, and questions have been raised over where such a club would be located.

A spokeswoman for Epping Forest District Council also said they had not received any licence application for such a venue.

Another 600 brawling thugs descending each night on a country town with which they have no connection? I hope not.

Just what Epping needs - another nightclub. Which idiot thinks up these ideas? I didn't realise just how vile and disruptive 195 was; I somehow managed to "tune out" Friday and Saturday nights but since it's been gone, it's been wonderful. Please, no more.

Unbelievable. R.I.P Epping. The town is about to become chav-central of Essex, prepare for the fights, stabbings, bouncers, riots ect - WHY WHY WHY would this get approved?
