Police have reopened an appeal for information on a hate crime which was filmed and uploaded to YouTube.
In September last year officers became aware of a video posted on YouTube of a night cashier at the Four Wantz roundabout BP Garage in Ongar, being racially abused.
During the film, a man named ‘Goldie’ appears to swear and hurl racist remarks at the cashier for more than two minutes. Although the incident was not initially reported to the police, officers are keen to find and question the man in the video.
After being posted by user John Doe, it was alleged that the man behind the camera was gang member William ‘Billyboy’ Martindale, who was found murdered shortly before the video was found.
Call PC Mark Sheridan-Brown on 101 with any information.
