A budding actor landed her ideal role eating her favourite yogurt on screen for her first major TV job.

Karen Crean, of Buckhurst Hill High Road, appeared in the advert for Activia yogurts alongside television style guru Gok Wan.

The 35-year-old, who runs her own design business, said: “I’m an Activia fan and have been for years, so I signed up for it because they were looking for fans.

“I couldn’t believe how hard it is to get people to eat yogurt on camera and look good, but they told me I was a natural.”

The advert, which is out now, is her first featured acting part, although she has had extra work in the Les Miserables film and the King’s Speech.

She said: “I’m on billboards as well and I was driving on the A406, going to the cinema with my sister and there was a billboard of me – you couldn’t miss it.

“I’ve been inundated with text messages and calls saying ‘you’re on a billboard’.

“It was a great opportunity.”
