FIREFIGHTERS are visiting upset pupils to offer advice after their school was destroyed by fire last week.
Officers from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue went along to see pupils of Hillmead JMI School after it burnt down on December 5.
The fire information unit will be meeting parents and youngsters in Tesco's car park today (December 10) to offer advice and comfort the children - many of whom are extremely upset at losing their school.
Hertfordshire County Councillor Richard Smith, Executive Member for Community Safety said "Following the fire at Hillmead JMI School on Friday, we would like to invite parents and children to visit our Fire Information Unit on Wednesday. We want to give local residents the opportunity to get advice and ask questions about fire safety."
They will also be offering free home safety checks.
