Library branches out to help people trace family’s roots
A LIBRARY is to let people look at documents dating back hundreds of years to help them trace their family history.
TV shows such as the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? have increased people's interest in tracing their roots and now Gravesend Library is hoping to help with this.
People will be able to look at old telephone directories and historical documents at the library, in Windmill Street, from 10am until noon on May 19.
Gravesham Libraries district manager Chris Bull said: "Many people are interested in tracing their family history.
"We may even be able to help put people in touch with long lost relatives or relatives they didn't know existed."
