    CHINGFORD: Danielle Johnson killer jailed
Marc King-Bromley has been jailed for 12 years
Marc King-Bromley has been jailed for 12 years

THE MURDERER of teenager Danielle Johnson has been jailed for life.

He must serve a minimum of 12 years.

Marc King-Bromley, 17, killed Danielle in a "terrifying and frenzied attack" after she became jealous of his relationship with his girlfriend, the Old Bailey heard today(Friday).

The two had been having a sexual relationship for several months.

The court heard 17-year-old Danielle, of Bushey Close, Chingford, had told him she was four months pregnant, although her post-mortem showed that she was not.

He lured her away to a deserted garage area and used a rough brick to bash her unconscious before stabbing her several times in the head.

Prosecuting Anthony Orchard said: "He used a brick to hit her in the head and a knife to stab her before leaving her for dead.

"She suffered serious injuries, three stab wounds in the right side of her chest, one in the right side of her neck and two in her back.

"There were multiple stab wounds to her head."

Danielle was taken to hospital where she had emergency surgery but never regained consciousness.

A CT scan revealed "significant brain damage" and her life support was switched off 11 days later.

The pathologist report stated she had died from chest and head injuries.

A bloodied brick was found nearby with Danielle's and King Bromley's blood on it.

Police also found a knife near to a canal in the area.

Her t-shirt was cut seven times and King-Bromley's blood was found on her left boot.

Mr Orchard told the court that Danielle ran into King-Bromley, of 59B Green Lanes, Palmers Green, with his girlfriend, Christina Michael, 18, in a chicken shop in his street.

She became angry and threatened to beat Miss Michael up.

Later, just after 5pm, Danielle and King-Bromley met again at the chicken shop and he took her to garages behind 141 Palmerstone House, ostensibly to talk to her.

The court heard he lost his temper and hit her several times with a brick, before stabbing her with a knife he had collected from home earlier.

She was found covered in blood with her pink t-shirt slashed in several places at 5.25pm by bank holiday walkers, who called 999.

The court heard that Miss Michael and another witness, who cannot be named for legal reasons, visited King-Bromley's address sometime later and found him washing off blood.

Mr Orchard added: "He was heard to say, "I think I've killed her.

"He told the witness he had smashed her in the head with a brick until he heard it go crack and he stabbed her in the neck and then the knife broke."

After his arrest, King-Bromley, who pleaded guilty to murder on March 3, also confessed to the murder by writing on his cell door in Feltham Young Offenders Institute.

The message read: "RIP Danielle Johnson. You didn't deserve to die. I didn't know what came over me that day. Had I been mentally stronger I wouldn't have killed her. God knows I am sincerely sorry."

In defence, Stuart Standish Stevens said the defendant had shown remorse, both when he pleaded guilty and in the message on the door.

He said King-Bromley had been under stress from the argument and threats by Danielle, which had lasted several months.

"He eventually completely lost control with the most tragic consequences."

Passing sentence, Judge Stephen Kramer QC, said King Bromley would have to live with the guilt of the "terrible and brutal attack" for the rest of his life.

He added: "She was only 17 when you took her life. I'm satisfied that you completely lost your temper.

"Her family's loss is of course immeasurable but nothing I do today can turn the clock back.

"I take into account your genuine remorse and what I saw you had written on the door of your cell."

He said King-Bromley would have to serve the minimum sentence available for someone of his age, 12 years minus 254 days already served.

looks like a let-off to me! In my opinion the Judge needs psychiatric help too. It's not very professional to show any sympathy towards a murderer, maybe he's just confused!

Me, i feel sympathy towards the victim and her family and i can see through the murderers defence sob story!

It isn't the Judge's fault that this sentance is so alarmingly and opathetically short. It is totally the fault of the Labour Government that has set the sentencing guidelines that Judges have to follow. Labour do not care about crime, only abour offences against political correctness. They have allowed the value of a human life to be downgraded to the point where murderers can often serve only 8 years. Bank robbers spend longer in prison than murderers do under Labour and that clearly shows Labour's priorities and cannot possibly be right.

Murderers should get a life sentence and life should MEAN life!
