CHIGWELL: School team hoping for public speaking success
A TEAM from Chigwell School will be taking part in the Rotary Youth Speaks District Finals on Sunday.
The High Road school is represented in the intermediate category for students aged 11 to 13.
The team - chaired by Sophie Halls, and including Angus Paterson (speaker) and with Pippa McKenzie giving the vote of thanks - will be speaking on the future of motor racing.
The winners of Sunday's competition, which features schools from Greater London and Essex, will go on to the regional final on March 8, at the Abington Hall Conference Centre, Granta Park, Great Abington, near Cambridge.
The competition is being organised by Rotary in London, part of Rotary International.
