CHIGWELL: Robbers steal car during 'test drive'
ROBBERS shoved a woman out of her own car before running over her foot and making off with the vehicle.
The two male suspects had arranged to meet with the 25-year-old victim outside her home in Limes Avenue, Chigwell, to take her BMW for a test drive with a view to buying it.
When all three were in the car the robbers pushed the woman out and drove off towards London at 7.30pm on Thursday, January 24.
The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene for the injury to her foot which is described as minor.
Detective Constable Charlie McCabe said: "This was a rather nasty robbery and one which has left a young woman in a very distressed and emotional state. We are looking to reunite the woman with her BMW and hopefully in one piece. As a result we would like to speak with any witnesses who may have seen the robbery or the car being driven off down the main road near to the Shell petrol station junction."
Both men were white, in their early 40s with dark hair and clothing.
One man had stubble and wore dark round-rimmed spectacles while his accomplice was about 5ft 10ins tall.
The stolen grey BMW 318 sports coupe had the registration number BA04 EHD.
Anyone with information should call Harlow Police Station on 01279 641212.
