Fire at old fire station
FIRE crews have been called to a building on Glebe Way, West Wickham.
Six appliances were called to the scene at 4.10pm to a building which residents say is the old fire station.
Beatrice Edwards, 80, who lives opposite said: "I was walking back home and I thought that the smoke looked like it was coming from my house!
"It was absolutely black. It looked like when tyres are on fire."

[bold][italic]bold[/italic] [/bold] I am one of the residents of the houses that are attached to the station and have luckly only minor damage to our property, unlike the severe damage done to a very good friend of ours.

The flames took seconds to engulf the fences and set alight to the first house and there were bits of glass exploding due to the intense heat. My RESPECT to the BRIGADE
