Women injured in pizza parlour fight

Two women were injured after being attacked during a fight outside a Borehamwood pizza parlour in the early hours of Sunday morning.

They were knocked to the ground outside Princes Pizza in Shenley Road at around 12.30am.

It is thought the pair were involved in an argument with people inside the restaurant which spilled in to the street.

A 40-year-old Borehamwood man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Both women were treated at Barnet Hospital, with one, aged 28, suffering a broken cheekbone. The other woman, 24, was left unconscious and suffered a broken nose.

Detective Constable Noel Buckley said: "We know there were lots of people milling around at that time and we would appeal for them to come forward if they witnessed this incident."

Anyone with information should contact DC Buckley on 01727 796672 or call Hertfordshire Constabulary's non-emergency number on 0845 33 00 222, quoting crime reference number J1/08/2109.
