You gotta rock 'n' roll with it to win
Young songwriters will have a chance to show off their skills at the annual Hertswoodstock Rock Festival on Tuesday.
The Hertswood School event encourages youngsters to battle it out to be crowned Songwriter of the Year.
London band Tom Mansi and The Icebreakers will act as judges for the competition, in which performers must include one original song as part of their set.
Categories for entrants are: 11-14, 15-16 and 17-19. The overall winner will be chosen from one of the three category winners.
The event takes place in the Upper School Hall, in Thrift Farm Lane, from 7pm.
Tickets cost £3 for students and senior citizens and £5 for adults.
To reserve a ticket, call Gill Cummins on 020 8238 7252.
