A vigil will be held close to the crime scene in Abbey Gardens, Tameside, where two police officers were shot
A vigil is to be held to mark the time one week ago when two policewomen were gunned down while answering a routine call.
Pcs Fiona Bone, 32, and Nicola Hughes, 23, had been called to a burglary on the Hattersley estate in Tameside, Greater Manchester, when they were attacked last Tuesday morning.
Today some of their colleagues will join members of the community in Hattersley to hold a vigil to remember the officers.
Police are expected to arrive from around 10.45am close to the crime scene in Abbey Gardens.
Short addresses will be given over a PA system, by Chief Superintendent Nick Adderley, the top officer in the Tameside Division for Greater Manchester Police, along with the Reverend James Halstead and a community representative. A minute's silence is due to be observed at 10.58am.
Dale Cregan has appeared in court accused of the double murder of the officers.
