Big Brother's Power housemate Pauline Bennett has made her "killer nomination".

The 49-year-old chose customer adviser Jale Karaturp to face the public vote for every week she remains in the house, citing her lack of help around the house as the reason for her vote.

Jale, who is already up for the show's first eviction alongside Danielle McMahon and Tamara Stewart-Wood, led the nominations with five nods while her fellow nominees received four votes apiece.

The 33-year-old admitted that the twist was "a lot to take in" as her fellow housemates consoled her.

Her fate may have been sealed when she entered the BB House and rolled her eyes when she saw Pauline's popularity amongst the housemates.

"I just got the impression she was jealous of how everyone loves Pauline," Helen Wood said in the diary room.

Her popularity later suffered when she helped herself to Pauline's chicken soup, and the housemates gave her the code name of Shelia so they could talk about her.

Jale realised, saying: "I know what bullies are like. I just want to stay out of the kitchen now."

Big Brother confirmed that Pauline's Power Trip has come to an end, but revealed that a new Power housemate will be selected in the coming days. Their identity will remain a secret to the rest of the house.

Big Brother: Power Trip continues tonight (June 10) at 10pm on Channel 5, with the first eviction to air live on the channel on June 13.
