Emily Blunt has told how she broke down Tom Cruise's positive spirit during filming on their new action movie Edge Of Tomorrow.
The Devil Wears Prada actress appears alongside the Mission Impossible actor in the new sci-fi movie about a soldier who is stuck in a time loop and has to relive the day of his death in a battle against aliens over and over again in a bid to save the world.
Emily revealed on Jimmy Kimmel live how the uncomfortable costumes and difficult stunts eventually wore eternal optimist Tom down on set.
The 31-year-old British actress told the chat show host how she and Tom spent much of their time in heavy-armoured suits, which "weighed between 85 and 100 pounds".
Emily revealed: "We were boiling and we were in these huge suits and there was no space... and we're hanging in these harnesses with the full weight of the 85-pound suit and your body weight on your groin, which is not fun.
"We're just hanging there in between takes just waiting for them to get ready and re-light, and I look at Tom and I can just see that insatiable positivity starting to unravel, and I just look at him and he's pouring with sweat.
"And I'm just hanging there and I say, 'This really sucks.' And he looked at me and he went, 'It's a challenge.' I said, 'Tom, it sucks!' And he went, 'Fine! It sucks!' I broke him. I broke his spirit.'"
