Cassidy in rehab over drink-driving
A judge has sentenced 1970s teen heart-throb David Cassidy to three months in rehab and five years' probation for drink-driving.
Cassidy's lawyer Steven Levine entered an open plea to a Los Angeles judge, admitting that the former Partridge Family star was driving under the influence when he was arrested in January after making an illegal turn.
Mr Levine said Cassidy, 63, had been in rehab and would remain for longer than his sentence required. He said Cassidy was committed to staying sober and wanted to break the cycle that led to him being arrested for drink-driving twice in less than six months.
A drink-driving case in New York was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanour earlier this month.
