Gavin & Stacey star hints at film
Ruth Jones has hinted that hit TV show Gavin & Stacey could be turned into a film.
The popular BBC comedy, created by Ruth and James Corden, ended in 2010, two-and-a-half years after it first hit TV screens.
Ruth, who played Nessa, told the Radio Times that she would "definitely" join forces with James, who starred as Smithy, again.
She suggested that the comedy, featuring Mathew Horne, Joanna Page, Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman, could return for a TV special and hinted there could even be a film.
"We haven't any concrete plans but we will at some stage," Ruth, whose character was famous for her "what's occurring?" catchphrase, told the magazine.
"It might be a Gavin & Stacey special or it might be a film..."
Stella star Ruth said that she was fan of the drama Last Tango In Halifax, Radio 4's The Archers, and most recently, a BBC4 documentary on cathedrals.
But asked what TV show she would ban, the actress, whose Gavin & Stacey sitcom was set in Essex and Barry Island, Wales, said: "I can't think of anything worse than watching The Only Way Is Essex, but then, you're talking to someone who likes Autumnwatch."
