Simon Cowell is said to be planning to miss the opening night of X Factor musical I Can't Sing! to make sure he is at the birth of his son.
The music mogul's baby with girlfriend Lauren Silverman is due on February 28 and the West End show is set to open just a day earlier on February 27, forcing Simon to choose between the two, according to the Daily Mirror.
He has reportedly promised Lauren that he will be by her bedside, not front row at the theatre, in the show's opening week.
The musical, which has been penned by Harry Hill, apparently hinges on the baby arriving on time as one key scene and a song is believed to be based on the tot's name - meaning the first few shows may need to go ahead without anyone knowing what the couple have chosen to call their child.
Simon is a co-producer for the musical, which includes the song Please Simon about X Factor contestants' sob stories at their auditions.
Rehearsals start next week at the London Palladium, where former EastEnder Nigel Harman will star as Simon.
