Fearne prefers mum time to partying
Fearne Cotton has insisted her partying days are over because she's much happier staying at home being a mum.
The Radio 1 DJ who gave birth to first child Rex six months ago told The Sun she had had a lifestyle overhaul since he had arrived.
The 31-year-old said: "Holly Willoughby wanted me to go out on the town with her the other night because she didn't have This Morning the next day. But I had to say no because I don't think I could be a mum with a hangover. I never thought I'd say waking up at half six is a lie-in.
"But I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I had so much fun when I was younger that I don't need to do crazy stuff now. My party days have ended and I've started to get really chilled.
"A nice dinner with a bottle of wine is a lot more up my street these days."
Fearne, who has just started back at Radio 1 after her maternity leave, said: "Since I've had Rex, I've got into baking. I just want to be at home with my family. That's what I love.
"Of course, there's sleep deprivation and being covered in puke and poo on a daily basis. But it's more than worth it because it's such a privilege to be a parent."
The presenter's partner is Jesse Wood, the son of Rolling Stones star Ronnie, and she says the veteran rocker has a special bond with baby Rex. "He's a lovely, wonderful grandad. He absolutely loves Rex, he is besotted with him. Rex loves him back as well - he's always grabbing Ronnie's face, which is cute."
Fearne also said best pal Holly Willoughby had been helping her balance life as a working mum.
She said: "Holly still likes to have fun and do her thing while being a mum. She makes me feel not too guilty about working."
