Emma Willis could be set to become the new host of Big Brother.

Emma, who presents spin-off show Big Brother's Bit On The Side, has been offered the role currently held by Brian Dowling, according to The Sun.

It said that Emma, who is married to former Busted star Matt Willis, is considering the move.

An insider said: "Brian has been a great host but Emma is seen by channel chiefs as a true successor to Davina [McCall].

"They're talking to her now about taking over the role from the summer."

The source added: "She's thinking it over but it's a great opportunity and she would be mad to turn it down."

Brian won the reality TV show in 2001 and has hosted the programme since it moved to Channel 5.

A Channel 5 spokesman declined to comment.
