Mark Wahlberg has admitted he found Catherine Zeta-Jones' Welsh accent intimidating.

The pair star together in new crime thriller Broken City, along with Russell Crowe, and Mark became friends with Catherine on the golf course before they made the movie.

Mark revealed: "I'd actually played golf with her before but I've never worked with her before. The accent can be pretty intimidating but she's very down to earth and very easy to be talk to."

As for who's better at golf, Mark conceded: "She's probably a better putter."

And the Ted star also got on well with Les Miserables star Russell, although he insists they didn't hang out at karaoke bars in between takes.

"We may have had a few drinks here and there but no singing!" he said.

Broken City is released on Friday March 1.
