Winstone: My daughters know more

Ray Winstone has said he never gives his children advice on making it in the acting world.

Two of the Nil By Mouth and Sexy Beast star's daughters, Lois and Jaime, are actresses.

But asked whether he ever offered them words of wisdom, Ray said: "No, I wouldn't dare! I always say to them, 'What can I tell you that you don't already know?'."

The Noah star, who recently appeared in a big-screen version of The Sweeney and in thriller Ashes, added: "I'm there for them if they want me, but they kind of know more than me anyway.

"My eldest girl is a singer and she loves doing that, and every now and then she's lucky enough to get a role. Jaime is cracking on doing what she does, so if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
