One Direction have apparently vowed to start learning languages so they don't get caught out when they are touring.
The Brit-winning boyband - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - found themselves out of their depth during a press conference in Japan last week, so they've decided that from now on they will learn a bit of the lingo before they head to foreign countries.
A source told The Sun: "The press conference in Japan got embarrassing because the boys' culture shock was so obvious.
"Over the weekend they vowed to learn at least 20 of the most common words in the languages of the countries they're visiting before they land there."
The singers are planning to log onto YouTube for some language lessons to help them "avoid embarrassing moments" abroad in the future.
The insider said they also think it will help them to " build up a bond with fans".
The group were greeted by huge crowds when they touched down at Narita Airport in Tokyo.
Niall tweeted: "Airport was crazy! Big love to japanese fans. I love this country! such a laugh! Amazing sashimi we had yesterday! Incredible!"
