James Jordan has been passed as fit to dance on Strictly this weekend
Denise Van Outen's pro partner on Strictly Come Dancing has been given the all-clear to dance this weekend after a nail-biting week in which he has barely been able to walk.
James Jordan has missed days of rehearsals after suffering ankle injuries after falling down stairs, but he pledged to dance through the pain rather than miss the BBC1 show.
And a specialist has now finally given the go-ahead for him to perform on Saturday a paso doble with Van Outen to The White Stripes' hit Seven Nation Army.
His injury has been so severe that he was sent for a scan on Thursday after he showed little improvement following a period of rest.
It showed his foot was fine, but he has damage to ligaments, although he took the results to mean he was fine to continue.
After the scan he told his fans: "MRI shows damage in three different places but foot structure (is) good. I will just take the pain and carry on."
Regular host Sir Bruce Forsyth is taking a break from presenting duties this week with Claudia Winkleman - who co-hosts the Sunday results programme - stepping in alongside Tess Daly.
The audience is expected to feature Liz Hurley and fiance Shane Warne, who are guests of pal Michael Vaughan, the former England cricket captain.
It comes after show judge Bruno Tonioli made unflattering comments about the Australian cricket star last month. Tonioli criticised Vaughan's expression during a performance and said "your face was so tight, you looked like Shane Warne after the makeover".
