Wikus van Heerden will be a huge success at Saracens according to his Bulls bosses.

The 14 times-capped Springbok joins countryman Cobus Visagie, Brent Russell and Neil de Kock at Vicarage Road and becomes Jones' third signing, following the capture of Welshman Michael Owen and new England skipper Steve Borthwick.

While Jones' was delighted with his latest acquisition Bulls bosses were despondent.

"Wikus is an unbelievable team player, leader, thinker and the perfect example for younger players as to what it means to be professional," said Ian Schwartz, Bulls business and communication manager. "We wish him all the best for the future and we know that success with be inevitable at Saracens. Our loss is their gain."

"Wikus is a world class performer who will add significant strength and depth to the Saracens squad," added new Sarries boss Jones, who officially takes charge today. "He's a player who is used to winning trophies and leads by example, both on and off the pitch, as he has proved at both international and Super 14 level.

"He also has the ability to play in a number of different positions and having worked with him during the World Cup, I know his high work-rate, knowledge, physical approach to the game and ability to lead from the front will make him a real asset to the club."
