VOLLEYBALL: Now in its fifth week, the Richmond Volleyball Summer League, held on Tuesday evenings at Old Deer Park, is proving popular, with more than 60 registered adult and junior players. Currently sitting at the top of the table is Andreas Koelblin, with 30 points, ahead of Marek Sokolowski, with 28 points, while the top female player is Jelena Leskovica, with 20 points. The league still has four weeks to go and players who wish to enter may still do so at this late stage. To enter, just turn up at Old Deer Park on a Tuesday. The first round of matches start at 6.30pm, with the second round at 7.30pm.

VOLLEYBALL: It is being billed as the largest outdoor volleyball event to be held in the capital, and it's coming to Imber Court sports ground next month. Forty teams have already registered to take part in the Richmond Volleyball International Festival, which will be held at the East Molesey venue from Saturday, August 23, to Monday, August 25. Further teams are being invited to enter. The price for adult teams of six is £100, which includes camping, three nights' of entertainment and parking. Junior team entries cost £50.
