MARLOW'S veterans led the way at last Saturday's Twickenham Regatta, coming home with two gold medals.
The veteran C/D Handicap Eight of Mark Henstridge, Mike Spencer-Jones, Nick Gill, Chris Lenton, Richard Coles, Mark Davies, Mark Billingham, Ed House and cox Kate Tucker were entered in the Vet C/D eight handicap overcame an eight second handicap in the first round against Thames to win comfortably.
That set up a final against Staines which Marlow won by one length.
The Vet B4, of Mark Henstridge, Mark Davis, Richard Coles, Mike Spencer -Jones with KateTucker coxing racing in the B/C handicap gave away seven seconds to all their opponents but still managed to reach the final where they they lost to Thames.
Marlow's Vet D4 team received a bye to the final and then made the most of it easily despatching the Vet E4 from Thames to ensure Mark Billingham, Chris Lenton, Nick Gill and Ed House went home victorious.
