Lillies appointment expected soon
Sam Wood's impressive displays have earned him a move to Brentford.
Sam Wood's impressive displays have earned him a move to Brentford.

BROMLEY chairman Jerry Dolke has told News Shopper the Lillywhites expect to appoint a new management team at Hayes Lane within the next 10 days.

Mr Dolke is still looking for a buyer for the club after putting it on the market, but promised fans it is business as usual in the meantime with preparations already under way for next season.

He said: "There will be an appointment within the next 10 days and I have already started discussions with the players who I want to keep for next season.

"We have just confirmed four cracking pre-season friendlies against Crystal Palace, Charlton, Colchester and Brentford and everything is geared to making next year a successful one both on and off the pitch.

"I have had a couple of preliminary meetings with potential buyers, but it isn't as simple as buying a house where you just get a mortgage and take things from there."

Meanwhile, Sam Wood has completed a move to Brentford for an undisclosed fee.
