Grant: We've come a long way in a month

JOEL Grant says it's a sign of how much Wanderers have improved in the last month that they were disappointed at losing to second-placed Port Vale.
There's now more belief in the squad after a three match winning streak and Grant said Blues felt they could have continued that run at Vale Park.
It wasn't to be as ten man Wanderers were beaten 4-1, but Grant said the pain of defeat was being felt more keenly after victories against Torquay, Portsmouth and Fleetwood.
He said: "A month ago we might have been looking at this game thinking, will we get any points from it? To see the boys disappointed shows how far we've come in that short space of time.
"You go into every game hoping to win. If you asked some of the individuals maybe one or two months ago, although we wanted to win at times you probably think, are we going to win, whereas now it's like we can definitely win.
"In the first half we showed what we are capable of and we put them on the back foot.
"Coming here is not easy. I thought we got on them early. Their fans got a bit miserable and I thought we had them rattled."
Blues were a goal up at half time before Jo Kuffour was sent off, and Vale exploited the extra space to devastating effect.
Grant didn't think the final scoreline accurately reflected the pattern of play and said he felt sorry for the Blues back four and midfield pairing of Josh Scowen and Stuart Lewis because of their efforts at keeping Vale out.
He said: "The final result is hard to take because I don't think we deserved to have a 4-1 deficit, so we're disappointed. 4-1 looks like a battering and I don't think that's what we deserved.
"The back four and the midfield two were outstanding today. I'm more disappointed for them because of the scoreline. Everyone looks at the defence when the scoreline's like that."
