Dean Morgan expects a prolific partnership with Jo Kuffour
TOP scorer Dean Morgan says it's just a matter of time before the partnership between himself and Jo Kuffour bursts into life.
The pair knew each other growing up in London and have built up a good understanding on the pitch despite never having played in the same team before.
They terrorised the Portsmouth defence on Tuesday night as Morgan scored twice and Kuffour hit the woodwork on two occasions in a lively display.
Both were without a club during the summer and only joined Blues in August - but Morgan says once they're up to full fitness there will be no stopping them.
Morgan said: "I've known Jo a long time. It's just a matter of time. We didn't have the best pre-season but we've taken advantage of what we've got here right now. Our finishing can only get better."
The 29-year-old's midweek brace took him to the top of the goalscoring charts with three, overtaking own goal as Blues' top scorer.
He said he'll be aiming to stay there but added Wanderers need goals from anywhere on the pitch.
He said: "I'm happy with either, if I can create more than I score it doesn't matter so long as the team wins. But I'll try and take that crown for as long as I can.
"I'm there now - I've only got three, anyone can score three on the weekend and join me."
