Stuart Lewis has been in the wars in recent matches
STUART Lewis is in contention to face Fleetwood Town despite nearly breaking a rib.
The combative midfielder needed a precautionary stay in hospital after taking a hit to his ribcage against AFC Wimbledon.
Then a fortnight later the same thing happened as Blues faced Torquay United, leading to the 24-year-old missing Tuesday night's trip to Portsmouth.
But caretaker boss Gareth Ainsworth said Lewis should be OK for the long haul north on Saturday.
He said: "It's amazing when you're carrying something you get another whack.
"He was close to fracturing his rib - he took a whack and got severe bruising. He got another whack on top of that.
"He'll be OK. He's a tough lad and I know he'll play through things."
Ainsworth added he has no fresh injury concerns after the Portsmouth game, but striker Matt McClure is a doubt following a hamstring problem picked up against Plymouth Argyle.
