Alex Geijo could be in line to make his Watford debut from the substitutes bench this weekend when the Hornets take on Middlesbrough.
Gianfranco Zola confirmed Geijo trained with the rest of the squad on Thursday following his groin problem, and so did Nyron Nosworthy who had missed the last two games with a thigh problem.
"They both trained with me today and tomorrow I will make a decision on that," Zola told the Watford Observer yesterday afternoon.
"They are not fit to play 90 minutes but they are certainly fit to be involved in the game, so we will see. Tomorrow I will decide."
Geijo arrived in England, on loan from Udinese, with fitness issues and was set to return after the last international break but picked up a groin injury in training.
Another player who has been suffering with a groin problem is fellow Udinese loanee Cristian Battocchio, who made a brief substitute appearance at Derby on September 1 but has not been involved since returning from international duty with Italy Under-20s.
Zola confirmed he is fit to be involved now though, as are Stephen McGinn, Matej Vydra and Joel Ekstrand, who have all suffered with injuries recently.
Jean-Alain Fanchone has yet to feature for the Hornets yet Zola confirmed he is fit enough to be considered.
Prince Buaben, John Eustace, Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, Ikechi Anya and Jack Bonham are all still out.
Fernando Forestieri will be suspended following his red card against Charlton Athletic.

Looks a cracking player if YouTube is to believed. I agree with those that see him coming on with 20-25 minutes to go. Hope he has a good debut.

Fanchone is nearly ready too and I'm excited as this will give us options down the left! These really are exciting times.
Just need Murray to improve on fitness and performances and all is very good

Alex Geijoooooooh Alex Geijoooooooh
Just like the way Man City sign Edin Dzeko's name!
Could be the best striker in this league if stays fit, and could still be top goal scorer!

Can't wait to see Geijo pull on the yellow shirt! We really do have a great squad and with Ekstrand getting more game time it's starting to come together!

It will be interesting to see who Zola picks if they are all fit, I suspect there will be a number of players included from last years squad despite all the newcomers.
Three points against Boro would be good and allow us to leapfrog them.
