WASPS director of rugby Dai Young has come out in support of beleaguered Blues boss Gary Waddock.
A sluggish start to the League Two season has frustrated some of the club’s supporters with more than 80 per cent of votes on an online BFP poll calling for the manager to step down.
But Young, who has had tough times himself in Wycombe, said: “I’ve spoken to him quite a few times and found him to be a top fellow.
“I’m not a football expert and don’t know his squad. It looks like it’s a bit of a struggle this season, but it’s how you measure success, isn’t it?
“Fergie wouldn’t have won the Champions League with Derby’s squad.”
“He’s a bit of a workaholic and giving that job everything. I’ve been impressed with his work ethic and how passionate he is about that job and taking the club forward.”
