Orient duo make an impression
Assistant boss Kevin Nugent is delighted with the attitudes of Ben Chorley and Jimmy Smith after the pair both scored in Leyton Orient's 4-1 win over Yeovil Town.
Both players have endured time out of the side with Chorley coming in for the injured Scott Cuthbert early in the season and Smith dropping to the bench for the two games before Yeovil.
Chorley grabbed the first goal, heading in a Nathan Clarke throw, and Smith drilled home from Gary Sawyer's corner to make it 3-1.
Nugent said: "Jimmy came back in, he's worked really hard and he was unfortunate to be out of the side but sometimes you have to freshen things up.
"You're looking to get the right formula, we've got 10 new players and Martin Rowlands was ill but Jimmy has come in and done well and got another goal.
"Ben has done well since coming into the team and him and Nathan (Clarke) are forming a really decent partnership now and looking formidable."
The O's number two was pleased with the victory over Yeovil, who he insists were tough opponents.
"The performance was very good and it deserved that result," Nugent said.
"Yeovil are a good side - they've beaten Brentford away and Scunthorpe away and they were unlucky against MK Dons too, so it was a good win for us."
