SAM Wood will return to training in three weeks after results of a scan showed that the ligament damage was not as serious as feared.
The midfielder was expected to miss three months, but should be available for selection again next month.
However, Matt Bloomfield is still a few weeks away after damaging his groin, and Dennis Oli is out for up to six weeks with ankle ligament damage.
Coming back, Matt Spring and Anthony Stewart are both in contention for tomorrow’s trip to Chesterfield after overcoming head and leg injuries.
