Watford youngster Tommie Hoban signs new five-year deal

Highly-rated centre back Tommie Hoban has followed his friend Sean Murray by signing a new five-year deal with Watford.

Hoban is a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international and made his solitary first team appearance away to Preston North End on the final day of the 2010/11 season, whilst still a first-year scholar.

The 18-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at non-league Wealdstone.

Well Done Tommie. Now get yourself out on loan (Conference) to get more experience

Good news. The powers that be are obviously very confident in his talent. 6 month loan in the conference until Jan, then League 2 club until the end of the season?
Surely Bennett will be shown the door now? If he was good enough he would have made a better impression by now.

I don't think anybody really knows if he's ready until he's given a chance in someones first team...

Sounds like Massey's words might have been a case of sour grapes...
