Gaz can't wait to face R's
GARETH Ainsworth can't wait to face his old club QPR for the first time in tonight's Adams Park friendly.
He left the R's to join Wanderers in 2009 after seven years at Loftus Road that included a spell as manager.
He hasn't faced them since but a pre-season friendly will give him one last chance to play against a club where he enjoys hero status before he retires.
Ainsworth said: "If there's one club people affiliate me with, it's QPR. I've done every job under the sun at that club on and off the pitch.
"I know all the Wycombe fans will respect how much passion I have for QPR and it's a club that's really close to my heart. To be a player there for over 150 games was special, we had promotions and good times there.
"It will be great to see the QPR fans. I've not been back to the club yet and they're coming to us. It'll be brilliant."
Ainsworth's spell as caretaker manager featured in a recent BBC documentary and he said: "There was quite a lot of chaos and disorder around the place every day but it endeared the place to me even more."
