Trust aim to cash in on conferencing to raise funds

No ticket price hike for fans
TICKET prices will not be raised at Adams Park as part of Wanderers’ bid to increase income.
Instead, the Trust want to cash in on facilities at the stadium.
They say the stadium is generating 25 per cent of the income it could.
Joint chairman Don Woodward said: “Adams Park is a fantastic facility that is used not that many times in a day. It’s an under-utilised, fantastic stadium.
“We had a wedding here at the weekend, we had a prom on Friday night. But there aren’t enough of those things going on. People don’t know or have forgotten about it.
“We need to get people using it, generate income and put that back into Gary’s [Waddock] pocket. We’re using this about 25 per cent of what we should be doing.”
Trust chairman Trevor Stroud echoed those sentiments.
He said: “The message for supporters to come back goes out to businesses as well. We have these conferencing facilities here.
“If you’ve got a meeting to hold, give us a go. If it’s not up the standards they expect we’ll work on it to get it to those standards.”
