Broster tips Ruddock

BEN BROSTER believes Mike Ruddock could be the man to replace Steve Diamond as Saracens' director of rugby.

The 23-year-old tight-head prop won his first Wales cap under Ruddock last summer and said he would be "very happy" if the former Ebbw Vale boss joined him at Vicarage Road.

"I'd be very happy if Mike Ruddock was to come here as head coach," said Broster. "I've always respected him and enjoyed working under his charge.

"I didn't see his resignation from Wales coming at all.

"I think there must have been a few reasons behind it but I was very surprised. but I'm not in Wales every week so I didn't see everything.

"But Mike's a good bloke and a top coach and I wouldn't see any problem with him coming to Saracens.

"Obviously it's all speculation at the moment but I think he could do a job in the Guinness Premiership."
