Crystal Palace could face a defensive crisis this Saturday with Danny Butterfield the latest player to join the injury list at Selhurst Park.
Paddy McCarthy is almost certain to miss the televised visit of Barnsley at the weekend after dislocating his shoulder against Nottingham Forest, while Matt Lawrence will be fighting for fitness after missing training last week due to having an injection in his groin.
Right-back Butterfield could also be sidelined after manager Neil Warnock revealed the 28-year-old has been suffering with a hamstring problem.
He said: “His hamstring has been sore for about a week and he is touch and go for the Barnsley game.”
