ORIENT have handed a trial to Portugal defender Jose Pedro Rodrigues Alves in today's reserve match at Northampton.
The 22-year-old, who has played for Sporting Braga in his homeland and Romanian outfit CS Otopeni, is given a run-out.
The east Londoners line-up will also feature another trialist, in the shape midfielder Ben Rayner.
Manager Dean Smith, looking to secure his first Football Combination Eastern Division victory of the season, has also named five professionals in the starting line-up, including Jamie Jones, Andrew Cave-Brown, Luke Ashworth, Sean Thornton and Loick Pires.
