Watford are worth backing to close in on promotion with a win at Brighton and Hove Albion in tomorrow’s lunchtime clash.

The Hornets are top of the Championship after a superb run of four consecutive wins and 12 victories from their last 16 games.

Two more will take them up as champions and Watford can secure the first of those wins over a Brighton side safe from relegation due to their superior goal difference over Millwall.

The visitors are a best price of 5/6 with Betfred but there may be other ways to support the Hornets at odds against.

Watford’s last two wins over the Seagulls were by two goals and Ladbrokes are offering 21/5 on this margin of victory.

There is likely to be plenty of tension with so much at stake and it may also be worth adding a one-goal margin at 13/5.

Brighton have limped to safety and, after losing four of their last five games, are arguably fortunate teams below them have failed to put pressure on them.

Chris Hughton’s side have failed to score in five of their last seven games so another suggested bet is Watford to win to nil at 5/2 with Coral.
