Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League

Premier Division

With the fixture schedule once more decimated by heavy rain, second-placed Warren United won the division's only fixture, 3-2 against Elm Park Eagles.

A hat-trick from James Peagram was enough to seal all three points for United, who still trail league-leaders Greengate by nine points but do have two games in hand.

Conversely, defeat leaves Elm Park Eagles in seventh, having lost nine of their 12 league fixtures this season.

Division One

There were only two games in the division but top-of-the-table Ainslie Wood provided more than enough entertainment on their own, winning 6-2 at Lonsdale.

Eric Kelly was the star of the show, running in four goals to take his personally tally to a whopping 34, enough to make him the top scorer in all three divisions.

James Sims-Williams and Courtney Wedderburn were also on target for Wood. Kalium Fletcher scored twice for Lonsdale and trails Kelly by one in the Division One standings having netted 21 times.

The other tie was not quite as goal-laden, though M & B Club still provided no little excitement with a 3-2 away win at Archers Athletic.

David Ryan notched a brace, with Paul David Scott scoring the all-important third for the visitors. M & B sit seventh with three games in hand on the two sides immediately above them.

Division Two

League-leaders Leyton Green did all they could to enhance their position, thrashing Park Tavern 6-0 in the third-tier's only fixture.

Though Green currently enjoy an intimidating 18-point lead over second-placed Flanders, they do so having played five games more than their nearest title rivals.

Charlie Saywood scored four times for Green, with Andrew Overton and Ben Jones also hitting the back of the net for the home side.

Corinthian Cup

Premier Division Coral advanced to the next round at the expense of second-tier Repton Park, triumphing 4-2.

Luke Thomas, Matthew Peacock, Lee Smith and Alan Hawrami were the Coral marksmen. Jesse Spearing and Georgie Groom registered in vain for Repton Park.

In the day's other tie, Division One Aldborough Hatch pulled off a cup shock, beating Premier Division outfit Romford Elite 1-0.

Stefan Attfield scored the game's only goal.

Spring Cup

In all Division Two tie, Napier crushed E4 Rangers 4-0 at home to progress with ease.

West Essex Sunday Charity Cup

Penalties were required to separate Valiant and CSKA Dynamos, with the former sealing a 5-4 win from 12 yards.

A 2-2 draw in normal time had forced spot kicks.
