Bournemouth are odds on favourites to defeat Watford tonight in their televised promotion battle.

The Cherries are top of the Championship, although their form has dipped in the last few weeks with three defeats from their last four games in all competitions.

The best price on a home win is 10/11 with William Hill which looks on the short side considering their recent dip and the quality of their opponents.

The Hornets have an excellent record against Bournemouth with just one defeat, which came back in 1997, in the last 17 meetings.

Watford, who are unbeaten in seven trips to the Goldsands Stadium, are a generous price at 10/3 with Coral but the last two games between them have ended 1-1 so the draw is a tempter at 11-4 with William Hill.

The visitors are available at 19/20 (Coral) in the double chance market to avoid defeat and this is definitely worth consideration.

Goals should certainly be on the menu tonight, with Eddie Howe’s side and Watford the first and second top scorers in the division respectively.

There have been 27 goals in the last five Hornets games so over 2.5 at 4/6 with Ladbrokes, over 3.5 at 7/4 (William Hill) and both teams to score at 13/20 (Ladbrokes) all appeal.
