Watford, boasting a 100 per cent home record, entertained a Swindon Town side who had failed to register a win in their first four away trips of the second division season.
The form book was overturned - despite the Hornets scoring twice to come from behind to draw level through Rick Holden and a Gary Porter free-kick - and a decisive goal from Swindon debutant Tom Jones gave the Wiltshire side the three points.
