DANNY Rowe is returning to Wanderers on loan from Rotherham United - with team mate Nicky Walker also making the journey south.

The two teenagers have agreed to join the Chairboys on loan from the newly-promoted Millers until November 2.

Winger Walker, 19, made his debut for the Championship side in 2012 and had a loan spell at Barrow last season.

But it's the signing of Rowe that will excite Blues fans, with an outstanding run of form in a seven game loan period at the end of last season proving pivotal to Wanderers' successful fight against relegation.

Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth, who has now signed nine players over the close season, said: "Danny really impressed us last season – he may have been a bit of an unknown quantity when he joined but by the time he left, he was attracting attention from a lot of people.

"He’s got a lot of talent, he can play in a multitude of positions and that will be important for us this season with a smaller squad."

On Walker Ainsworth said: "Nicky is an exciting attacking player with electric pace and he likes to get at defenders.

"He’s got a goal in him as well and I know he’s looking forward to getting stuck in at league level."

The Blues boss added: "For us to secure two players from a Championship club is great and I hope we can play a big part in their careers going forward. I’d like to thank Rotherham for agreeing to send them on loan to us and we welcome them with open arms."
