STUART Beavon is unlikely to be making a return to Wanderers after the club tried to take him back on loan.
Blues confirmed this week they had made enquiries about bringing their former striker back to Adams Park from Preston North End.
But it's believed Beavon, who scored 25 League One goals for Wanderers in the 2011/12 season, still features in the Lancashire side's plans and they want him to stay at Deepdale.
It's also being reported Wycombe made enquires with Preston over defender Ben Davies.
Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth is in the market for a left back and it's understood he asked about signing Davies on a season-long loan.
However that potential transfer also seems to have been knocked back.
Teenager Davies spent last season on loan at York City, who he helped reach the League Two play offs.
